Antique WHS Photos

1903-1929

This page has a series of photos I took from antique, charming WHS printed WHS papers --some over 100 years old-- discovered by George Bond. The pictures include yearbooks, newsletters, and graduation materials.

Occasionally I've added pop-up links to a great site explaining what was going on in history in a certain year. I think this will help you appreciate the photos even more.

Too see the whole series of pictures, simply click on any of the thumbnail pictures and then advance using the "next" or "previous" links. Clicking "home" gets you to this page you are now reading.

This page is a work in progress; I'll add more historical pop-up links as I get the time. And you, dear alumni, please enjoy this page, and let me know what memories any of these antique images evoke for you. Email me your comments and refer to the picture by its ".jpg" name or by what is on the picture itself. If I get enough comments, I'll create a kind of "WHS Wall" with all your comments! Bob Boeri

Note from George Bond about these photos

Following is a note from George Bond about this picture.

" This item is particularly dear to me. My maternal grandmother was Ada Harvey Travers Lynch, and this 1916 Alumnus note mentions my maternal grandmother's two younger siblings, Amy and George Harvey. Gram beamed with pride when any of her sisters or brothers obtained their High School Diploma. She had to quit school after the Eight Grade."
